I was on Louis Bergonzi’s ASTA board as secretary from 1998-2000. A good part of the discussion on that board was whether or not ASTA could do a stand-alone conference along with all types of scenarios and details. Do we house it at a university or do we use community conference centers? So many questions! Finally, in 2003 we saw the fruits of those early discussions and the first ASTA National Conference was held at The Ohio State University...
