Chicago Jazz Workshop - Midwest Young Artists' Chicago Jazz Workshop is designed with the aspiring creative jazz musician in mind. Students are placed in jazz combos of five to eight students, where the focus is ensemble interaction, accompaniment, and improvisation through the study of jazz standards. The ultimate goal of the workshop is to help students gain a better understanding of how to control and manipulate their musical environment. -
Evening Orchestras - MYAC offers Evening Orchestras as a fun, high quality orchestral experience with fellow young musicians throughout the Chicago area. It's a great way for students to keep up their musical studies throughout the summer, and it's perfect for students who are too busy during the day for a full-time summer music camp; you can work or go to summer school and still learn great repertoire and prepare to perform! -
Evening Jazz Ensemble - Midwest Young Artists Conservatory offers Evening Jazz Ensembles as a fun, high quality jazz experience with fellow young musicians throughout the Chicago area. The program is a great way for students to keep up their jazz studies throughout the summer, and it's perfect for students who are too busy during the day for a full-time summer music camp; you can work or go to summer school and still learn great repertoire and prepare to play concerts at various well-known venues! -
Chicago Chamber Music Workshop - Midwest Young Artists' nationally recognized Chicago Chamber Music Workshop offers students an unparalleled musical experience in a fun and supportive environment. An outstanding faculty, nurturing staff, and beautiful setting will inspire students to explore new ideas, discover new talents, and learn skills that will stay with them forever. Throughout the week students receive professional coaching and multiple opportunities to perform. -
Afternoon/Evening Chamber Music - Midwest Young Artists' Afternoon/Evening Chamber Music is an excellent opportunity for students to continue playing in chamber ensembles over the summer break. Unlike the Chicago Chamber Music Workshop, this camp meets in the afternoons and evenings during its two week session, although both camps are lead by the same outstanding faculty. Afternoon/Evening Chamber Music is specifically designed for string, wind, and piano students, and is particularly beneficial to students who are taking summer school classes but would still like to participate in a summer chamber music camp. -
